Living in our Parish

The Parish of Little Missenden is situated in the rolling Chiltern Hills in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and in parts some 600 feet above sea level. Large parts of the Parish have areas of Green Belt with Preservation Orders. The Parish has a number of footpaths which are enjoyed by numerous ramblers. Cyclists also enjoy the area.

The Parish comprises the four villages of Little Missenden, Little Kingshill, Hyde Heath and Holmer Green with Beamond End. Facts relating to each of these villages can be found by clicking the appropriate link.

Each of the villages enjoy a short drive to Amersham to the east, Great Missenden to the northwest and High Wycombe to the south west to enable commuting to London by fast mainline railway on the Chiltern Line which takes about 40 minutes. The Parish is also up to one hour's drive from two of London's main international airports - Heathrow and Luton, with Gatwick and Stanstead being somewhat further.
