Vacancy for Councillors

Should you wish to become a Parish Councillor for Little Missenden/Little Kingshill Ward then please contact the Parish Council Clerk by e-mail (  or by telephone 01494 715429 (9am to 12noon) or in writing to the Parish Council Offices at 38 New Pond Road, Holmer Green,HP15 6SU.

to be considered as a Councillor you must have:-

1 been registered as a local government elector for the administrative area of the parish:and/or

2 during the whole of the twelve months preceding the date of co-option occupied as owner or tenant the following land or other premises in the parish: and/or

3 his/her principal or only place of work during those twelve months in the parish; and/or

4 during the whole of those twelve months resided in the parish or within 4.8 kilometres (3 miles) of it.

Defibrillator for Holmer Green

An appeal was published in the May edition of Holmer Green Today to provide a Defibrillator for Holmer Green - refer to attached poster which has been placed at several locations within the village.

Should you wish to support this appeal donations can be made in cash or by cheque (payable to Little Missenden Parish Council) and will be received at the Council Offices in new Pond Road between 9am and 12 noon Monday to Friday.

Forthcoming Event Roadside Advertising

The regulations relating to the siting of temporary signs for forthcoming events are as follows:-

  1. The sign shall not be of a commercial nature.
  2. The signs must not be erected more than two weeks prior to the event and must be removed during the week following the event.
  3. The signs should be sited at a minimum distance of one metre from the carriageway edge, preferably adjacent to the highway boundary and be freestanding.
  4. They should not obstruct any visibility splay, footway or vehicular access.
  5. The signs must not be attached to street light columns or any other street furniture.
  6. The maximum size of the sign shall be one square metre.
  7. Only signs carrying the venue are permitted.
  8. Signs should be properly constructed and fit for purpose.

Please note that before any excavation of the highway takes place, the location of any Statutory Undertakers’ plant / services must be ascertained.

In addition any claim on the County Council resulting from any incident involving the signs will be referred to the event organisation.  You are advised to ensure that your insurance policy provides suitable cover.

Mediation Buckinghamshire
